About us
The team behind Clusterward
Clusterward is a product of BitKollegen GmbH from Hannover. We develop software for businesses and as our own products – and run it ourselves on a European cloud. Clusterward is the tool that came out of this.
Who we are
Building software and running it ourselves
BitKollegen combines software development and operations in one company. Management, customer relationships and project responsibility are based in Hannover; dedicated teams develop, test and run our software. Alongside client projects, we build our own SaaS products – and it was running exactly those that gave rise to Clusterward.

From in-house tool to product
Every new customer of our own SaaS products needed a database, a bucket, a domain and a deployment – and each task lived in a different tool. Clusterward grew out of the scripts and runbooks that held it all together.

Our SaaS products run on Kubernetes at Scaleway, with customers who each need their own resources.

Automating the repetitive
Clusters, databases, domains and deployments became fixed workflows instead of manual work.

One cockpit for the team
The workflows got an interface with roles, an audit log and safety nets.

What makes operations easier for us, we now offer to other teams as SaaS.

New DeskGenie customers are set up through a tenant pipeline, with a database, bucket and domain.
European cloud
Our clusters, databases and buckets are hosted at Scaleway in data centers in the EU.

BitKollegen is certified to four international standards. They cover how we build and run software and how we protect information.

Information security management: risks, access and incidents follow fixed, audited processes.
